In our communication through the clothes we wear there is a correspondence between some fixed meanings, such as the individual affirmation and the social status, and a number of other meanings conveyed by a number of different clothes and styles. In this book, the author proposes a critical approach to this complex and fascinating phenomenon, which holds a relevant place in our everyday life. Looking beyond the mere aesthetic function of dressing up, the author stresses the interdisciplinary aspects related to this action, that legitimate it in its cultural worthiness.
